My World, My Work
I live my life by one simple rule: Do what makes you happy. Growing up in the Silicon Valley, I faced a lot of pressure to pursue a career in STEM while I held a deep passion for the arts. It took many years to shift the perspective of my community and have them realize the value of art and creative endeavors. Art is used to save lives, to validate people's emotions, or simply just to entertain. Without it, what would our society be? I am an artist to empower Indian Americans, to give American audiences a peek into the world of Bollywood, and because there is nothing else I can imagine myself doing.
I wrote my first screenplay when I was thirteen years old, and the passion stuck. Every time I wrote a script, I had the urge to direct it. When I came to college at the University of California, Santa Barbara, I put on many different hats on several film sets until I got the opportunity to direct a film with a crew of 45 people during my third year. This film, The (In)Dependent Spouse, has been selected into three festivals and took home an award for Best Story. Since then, I have produced three films, all of which have won festival awards, and also won Best Screenplay as part of the 10-10-10 program at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
I graduated with an MFA for Writing for the Screen & Television at the University of Southern California in 2022. I came out of USC with three completed television pilots, two features, and a short film.
Producing several films meant that my job was to promote our content so we could raise money through crowdfunding. It was these experiences that sparked my interest in marketing and social media. In addition to working on student films, I have also held marketing positions for several companies, including AutoVitals, Pura Stainless, and Western Fertility Institute.

I have held internship positions at Stephanie Germain Productions, Ramo Law, and Okay Goodnight. In addition to working full time in Los Angeles, I also create video essays on my YouTube channel and participate in screenwriting workshops to continue honing my craft and producing new content.
